Why I am involved with Bal Swan:Bal Swan has always had a huge presence of the Broomfiel community as far back as I can remember.

As a Broomfield native, I grew up with Bal Swan. My parents attended the early Bal Swan Balls, I volunteered there as a grade school child and as a high-school student. All four of my children attended Bal Swan and emerged fantastic foundation and skills that will continue to serve them throughout their lives. Serving on the Board is just a natural progression for me. Bal Swan is an AMAZING program and we are committed to ensuring it's future.

Why I am involved with Bal Swan: Kids are cool. They are the pride and joy of our lives and our future too. Children deserve our finest care, love, affection, teaching and admiration.

I am a Denver native and have two sons. Jimmy lives in Whitefish Montant, is 37 and just had his first child. Of course I am now a proud grandmother of a beautiful little girl. Jonny is 35 and lives in Colorado Springs. I have been in the banking industry for over 40 years and I am employed by First National Bank as a Business Banking Relationship Manager. I also own and operate Paladin Ranch in Bennett Colorado where I breed, train, show and sell miniature horses.

Why I am involved with Bal Swan: I started out as a volunteer nearly 20 years ago for the tennis tournament. Over the years I have come to love the school and believe in every opportunity we can give every child.

Broomfield has been my home since 1983 where my husband, Kevin, and I raised our two children, Breanna and Sean. I have been in banking in the Boulder and Broomfield area since 1979 and I am currently a Vice President and Retail Lead Manager for First Community Bank for the Broomfield and Boulder markets. While my children did not have the opportunity to attend Bal Swan I have volunteered for many of the fund raising events for the school. I Chaired the Golf Tournament for several years and have volunteered and attended the Ball over the years. While on the Board I have chaired several committees which have worked to keep the vision and mission of Bal Swan current to our times while maintaining our history and true philosophy of how we view our precious clients, the children. I am a true believer in what Bal Swan does for the children of our community and plan on working with the school for years to come. I also currently serve on the BASH committee for the Broomfield Community Foundation.

Why I am involved with Bal Swan: I have been interested in working with organizations that intigrate disabled kids into a normal classroom environment since my daughter was born with Downs Syndrome 34 years ago. Bal Swan allows me to continue focusing on this area.

I am retired from the General Motors Corporation where I worked for 36 years as a Human Resources Professional. I am married with 2 "kids" age 34 and 37 the younger has Downs Syndrome. As a result I have been involved with the effort to fully integrate disabled kids into the regular classroom for many years an effort that continues today.
