Sibshops provide opportunities for brothers and sisters of children with special health and developmental needs to obtain peer support and education within a recreational context. At Sibshops, they'll have a chance to meet other kids who have brothers and sisters with special needs and talk about the good and sometimes, not-so-good parts of having a sibling with a disability. Sibshops are lively celebrations of the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of kids with special needs.
Sibshops are for children 8-12 years old who have a sibling with a special health need or disability. Sibshops are run by a team of Bal Swan Sibshop facilitators who have professional and, in some cases, a personal understanding of the impact a child's challenges can have on brothers and sisters.
Workshops will be held on Sundays from 1-4 p.m.
at Bal Swan Children's Center
1145 E. 13th Ave.
Broomfield, Co 80020
Cost is $100 for all six sessions
